Updates on Prosecuting War Crimes/Genocide

Genocide Convention ~ ICRC
Article VI of the 1948 Genocide Convention provides:
Persons charged with genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III shall be tried by a competent tribunal of the State in the territory of which the act was committed, or by such international penal tribunal as may have jurisdiction with respect to those Contracting Parties which shall have accepted its jurisdiction.
This is our best chance for prosecuting genocides as it is done in the country where it occurred by a tribunal (which should be a tribunal of the people effected).  This is the only way i see to prosecute western leaders and their protected puppets at this time for war crimes and genocide.  I do not know if there is any way we can actually use this to prosecute war crimes alone but pretty much every western intervention has resulted in genocide to date.
Below i have some related material to prosecuting these criminals so you can see for yourself, also on the community site there is more legal info regarding which i will move to blog as time allows.

The term “war crimes” evokes a litany of horrific images—concentration camps, ethnic cleansing, execution of prisoners, rape, and bombardment of cities. These images correspond in many ways to the legal definitions of the term, but international law draws lines that do not in all ways match our sense of the most awful behavior.

National Prosecution of International Crimes
The comparative project focused on the questions how and by which means the criminal laws of different states provide or allow for the punishment of international crimes by their own domestic courts, which deficts exist in comparison to applicable international law (and obligations to prosecute established by it) concerning such national jurisdiction, and which reforms have been carried out or are planned in order to permit the national prosecution of international crimes.

ICC and USA
The United States government has consistently opposed an international court that could hold US military and political leaders to a uniform global standard of justice. The Clinton administration participated actively in negotiations towards the International Criminal Court treaty, seeking Security Council screening of cases. If adopted, this would have enabled the US to veto any dockets it opposed. When other countries refused to agree to such an unequal standard of justice, the US campaigned to weaken and undermine the court. The Bush administration, coming into office in 2001 as the Court neared implementation, adopted an extremely active opposition. Washington began to negotiate bilateral agreements with other countries, insuring immunity of US nationals from prosecution by the Court. As leverage, Washington threatened termination of economic aid, withdrawal of military assistance, and other painful measures. The Obama administration has so far made greater efforts to engage with the Court. It is participating with the Court’s governing bodies and it is providing support for the Court’s ongoing prosecutions. Washington, however, has no intention to join the ICC, due to its concern about possible charges against US nationals.https://www.globalpolicy.org/international-justice/the-international-criminal-court/us-opposition-to-the-icc.html
ICJ
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations (UN). It was established in June 1945 by the Charter of the United Nations and began work in April 1946.The seat of the Court is at the Peace Palace in The Hague (Netherlands). Of the six principal organs of the United Nations, it is the only one not located in New York (United States of America). The Court’s role is to settle, in accordance with international law, legal disputes submitted to it by States and to give advisory opinions on legal questions referred to it by authorized United Nations organs and specialized agencies. The Court is composed of 15 judges, who are elected for terms of office of nine years by the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council. It is assisted by a Registry, its administrative organ. Its official languages are English and French.

Creating Our Own Network

How to ….  techies out there ?

WiFi + USB Drive = Your Own Mini-Internet (Freedom)

Editor’s Note: There seems to be some confusion over the concept of the PirateBox. The entire point is not to be connected to the controlled, restricted, & monopolized Internet, and begin using local alternatives leveraging technology to go around draconian laws and regulations.

A PirateBox is the smallest, but easiest way to connect with others locally and wirelessly,as well as anonymously, without connecting at all to the Internet. It is the first step to building larger local mesh networks, and eventually a parallel Internet built using mesh architecture designed, maintained, and used by the people, for the people – no government or corporate infrastructure would be required, and the means of monopolizing and controlling a decentralized people’s Internet made nearly impossible.

Think of the PirateBox as a prototype of a building block for something bigger and more significant. In the fight for freedom, we will not find complete solutions, prepackaged and waiting for us on the shelves of WalMart. We will have to research and develop our own solutions, patiently, incrementally, and in collaboration with our friends, family, neighbors and local community. Our problems were not created overnight, neither will the solutions. -Tony Cartalucci.
